This book has aged badly. There are some stories that might not be modern but can be read in their own right. This is not one of them. Here, Smith is portraying the world of television in a depressing light where it seems there are no loyalties and women can progress their careers by flaunting the flesh. Maybe this story would have worked when it was released back in 2009 but today? Sadly, it falls flat with a grimacing aftershock.
