Shelves: f-f, intrigue, mystery
This book has humor, charm, and some very passionate love scenes. These three items are woven in between an intriguing FBI mystery with a requisite bad guy who is really off his rocker. The two key FBI agents who anchor the team are just priceless. They are a female and male partner who really mesh and back each other up with passion and professionalism. The fact that they are both gay provides some delightfully entertaining moments and really heartwarming support. It was rather a stroke of geni ...more

3.5 rounded up to 4 stars. This was a fun, sexy, and brief read. The 2 leads are interesting. One's a bad ass FBI agent and the other a possible target of a killer the agent is protecting. The target is funny but a bit sex obsessed. The police/FBI procedural part is not very realistic and the investigation takes a back burner to the romance, so if you're looking for a crime thriller this won't be your thing. If on the other hand, you're looking for a sexy romp with a bit of crime excitement this ...more

Shelves: crap, lesbian, uber
Please oh please authors--do NOT write a police procedural if you have no idea how the FBI/police/law enforcement actually operate. This story is pretty much lacking all subtlety with a climax that can be seen a mile away. The stereotypical gay male best friend in lesbian literature either needs to go or he needs to be a real character and not just a device. This is one if those beach reading books, incredibly short on character development but also fairly quick to breeze through.

I wrote it, so I figured I could give myself 5 stars. Deb did too.

Waiting for the sequel, now. Suspenseful, steamy, filled with characters I want to know. D.L. has the skill to bring her imagination into the everyday and make it believable. Keep them coming!
Very good book. I hope there is a sequel.

This is a really enjoyable book. The crime drama part of it is a great story, well told, and could easily be a movie a television series. The occasional hot girl-on-girl sex is integral to the story, though, so we might have to see it on pay-per-view!

D.L. Line has been many things at different times in her life: a musician, a pharmacy technician, a bartender, a student, a restaurant owner, a marching band director, and a dog sitter to name a few. Through it all, she has always been a storyteller. D.L. lives in Virginia with her family, including Snickers the Wonderdog. On Dangerous Ground is her first novel.
