Very enjoyable read. Great insight to the creative and frankly very tough, life lived by the early cyclists.
From a perfectionist performance POV I am sure many modern cyclists will out perform him.. but if modern cyclists went back in time and had to perform as he did back in the day, they would absolutely struggle.

Enjoyed this one a lot - it's easy to read and very fascinating to learn what it was like to be a rider in the peloton in the 60s.
