Zoobooks is a great example of an informational text that has stimulated 8 to 11 year olds for decades. I find myself using Zooboks to teach nonfiction text features to this day. Their layouts are a smart balance of graphics and photographs. The language isn't too challenging for upper elementary, and is a great example of a reference material.
