It's been a long time since our last visit to Knight's Mageverse of vampires and witches

More like 2.5 stars. I liked both of the leads, and Knight did a good job of making me believe that the hero Logan (human son of Gwen and Arthur) fell for the Maja Gaida who was sent undercover to protect him, he admires her intelligence as well as her beauty. But I had a harder time with Gaida's feelings for Logan. Lust? Yes. Love? Not so much. Logan hurts Gaida emotionally several times and she gives him th

Paranormal Romance
The hero has been fighting against his destiny for many years. After witnessing the change of his friend and the subsequent death that followed, the hero has fought to remain human even though his people need him to become a vampire. His parents - Arthur and Gwen, and his aunt Morgana have all pressured him into accepting his place but the hero is just not ready yet. It's why he's so resistant to the sneeky handed tactics of his aunt. She's sent females his way who are witches in the hopes that ...more

LOVED IT!!! This to me is what a really good paranormal romance should be. Angela uses such a fantastic imagination in writing these book's. I really liked both H&H the and secondary characters. Of course the love scenes were Hot and that is always' a plus for me.

I'm so glad that Angela came back to write more of this series. The last book in this series I read was back in 2007. Up until then I could hardly wait for each new book in this series to be released. This one slipped by me and I'm

Someone is trying to kill Arthur's son, Logan. They are killing the Latents before they acquire their magic. Arthur and Gwen have sent Giada a new Maja to protect Logan. She is forbidden to sleep with him because he doesn't his powers yet. Logan doesn't completely trust her because too many have tried to trick him into sex. This is fun read because of that and because Giada is trying to keep him safe without using to much magic so he doesn't find out what she is. He works for a police dept. on t ...more

Main characters were wonderful, but Arthur, Guin, Morgan - they were all manipulative, conniving jerks. I would use other language to describe them, but would prefer not to curse in a review. Their behavior left a really nasty taste and kept me from fully enjoying the story.

Back in November when I first found out this book was being published I said "I am SO excited, if you want something fun, sexy and full of action then this may be the series for you. Any vampire warrior who must live off blood and sex can try and see if I am a mage any time of the week. Set in a parallel Mageverse Arthur and his knights and Maja protect the human real from all kinds of demons and beasties, helped by Dire Wolves, a couple of Dragons and Fey they strive to battle evil. Turned into ...more

Giada - new mage (witch) - 4 months old - as human a brilliant chemist...

Logan - son of King Arthur & Gwenivere - Gwenivere raised him in the human world, though he regularly visited the mageverse - he witnessed an adopted brother, who when turned to vampire, went mad, and Arthur had to kill him, and Logan feared that he may also go mad and require his father to kill him, so he put off turning.

But someone is after the the Latents - killing 10 or more, and someone is targeting Logan... so Art

A while back, I picked up the anthology Hot Blooded to read the novella written by Christine Feehan. Because it was an anthology, I read the other novellas just to see what other authors were penning at the time. That was how I discovered Angela Knight's Mageverse. And it was a discovery I was excited about. Usually, I end up discovering a new series long after it has started and I have to wade through countless books to catch up. But Mageverse was new, so as long as I stayed on top of it, I wou ...more

Brilliant chemist Logan MacRoy, the son of Arthur and Guinevere Pendragon, is also a cop, an arson investigator and a bomb tech. Someone has been killing Latents and immortal witch Giada Shepherd is tasked by the Pendragons to protect Logan without letting him know what she is or what she's doing. With a serial bomber in town doing his damndest to kill Logan, Giada certainly has her hands full. Enter the psychotic DireWolves and you have a lot going on and your choice of villains.

I loved Logan a

Warning - this has a cliff hanger ending. I HATE that. If I'd know, I would have waited for the release of Master of Smoke and just bought both of them then.

Good read, hot sex, but you really don't see much typing the h/h together except sex and location/profession. I'm guessing they might be further developed in the next book - as Smoke [who is the hero of the next book:] was started in this one.

There is an ongoing series arc - books should really be read in order [although the short stories ar

I have enjoyed the few books in this series and was excited to read this newest addition. I think it was quite good in the sense that it was a stand-alone story that linked to the other books in this series. However, there was just a feel of the dialogue being a bit on the fussy side -- it was probably just me. However, I enjoyed the story as a whole and was glad I had an opportunity to read it. Otherwise, I would have not encountered Arthur Pendragon's "other" son -- not Mordred, the son he had ...more

Knight does an excellent job in imagining what it would be like to be the 21st-century son of Arthur and Guinevere, especially a mortal son of legendary Magekind parents. Logan MacRoy is a compelling character, easy to admire, to cry over, to cheer for, and occasionally get exasperated with. Giada Shepherd, the heroine of the novel, is less well developed. It was hard for me to get why Logan was attracted to her. Still, the story--multiple attempts to kill Logan as revenge against Arthur by a ps ...more

Another great installment from Angela Knight. A very sweet love story with incredibly steamy sex scenes. LOVE Angela Knights sex scenes. Giada and Logan battle the evils stalking them as well as battle the growing affection they feel for each other. It's your typical romance book.. However, if you love romance with the dangers that accompany the preternatural world then these will be a sure favorite. I've loved all of Angela Knights Magaverse series books. She has spun a great story with Arthur ...more

If your a fan of paranormals then you'll love Angela Knights Master series. The Master series is a mix of wolfs, witches, elves and vampires. Lets not forget King Arthur and his round table. Giada Shepherd is a brilliant immortal witch whose job it is to protect Logan MacRoy who is King Arthur and Guinevere's son. Logan isn't looking forward to becoming immortal. He's worried that he could hurt someone and is putting it off for as long as he can. Of course having someone trying to kill you might ...more

Another great book by Angela Knight in her Mageverse series. Great book if you like: vampires, witches, suspence, parellel worlds, a little mystery, and a sexy read. Having sex three times will turn Logan into a vampire, and Giada was expressly forbidden to turn Logan, but the sexual tension between the two makes that hard. Plus throw in a werewolf who is trying to kill Logan, preferably with a bomb, and you have an exciting read. There is some deaths, even of a good guy, and the werewolf was no ...more

I enjoyed this enough to keep reading it, but felt the "magic" aspects were inconsistant, zapping in and out and disarming stuff, until they needed it, then there was some new rule or problem. Also, hero and heroine both came across as naive. The sex scenes were heavy-handed ("Sweet Merlin's Cup, you're tight!" - pretty cheesy) But still, there were some good plot elements, and if the next story is about Smoke, I'd probably read it.

Giadda is an immortal witch who falls for Logan. Logan is the son of King Arthur, an immortal vampire. He thinks that Giadda is a new trainee to investigate crimes but she is really sent to protect him. Logan has always fought against becoming a vampire like his father. But if he and Giadda get together he does not realize that he would be turned into the very thing that he thinks he does not want.

Another great installment in the Mageverse series and officially the last one I'd previously read. I really liked the main characters in this one. Logan is a great representation of a human son of King Arthur and Giada is as perfect for him as everyone seems to think. I especially like the new character, Smoke. Can't wait to read his book next!

Logan MacRoy the son of King Aurthur is fighting his destiny of becoming immortal due to a childhood trauma. Giada a Majae, a magical witch from the Mageverse is sent to watch over him as someone is killing Latens that are to become immortal. They are gunning for Logan. They twist fate they experience is like no other. Very intense story. Read the book in one day as I could not put it down.

They had a son, called Logan? The more I learn about Arthur, the less I kind of like him. He's an asshole in this book towards Gaia. I feel bad for the poor chick.

Smoke is fun. I love that mischievous cat. Well, yes, he's more than a cat. I'd love to have him in my bed with me. *wink wink*

This was a story which moved fast and brought in some new fun characters.

Only my second novel by Angela Knight - though I've read a few of her short stories, too.
I didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the others, but I think that may be because I took so long reading it. I didn't love the characters as much as I usually do, though.
Knight writes great sex scenes, though, and I love the Mageverse in general. I'll keep reading these :)

I enjoyed this book but it was a little disapointing that it took so long to really get Logan MacRoy to except that he needed to become a vampire. He knew that eventually he would. But he had been putting it off which it seemed kind of silly. After you hear he reason you understand a little better. But still it made the story a little drab.

An interesting series with a pretty cool twist on magic. I liked the characters. It was a fun read but I don't think I would spend time with the rest of the series at the moment as I have too many books to read as it is. I do have an interest in the next book, which I believe involves my favorite character Smoke.

Good book. I enjoyed the character of Logan as being a human male coming to grips with becoming a vampire later. And I really liked Smoke and that the next book is about him! Would recommend this book.

My least favorite of the series so far... I missed the fun of some of the other books. I had little faith in the couple and felt that they rushed things too often. I also thought the instant and unexplained "IN LOVE" made me want the book to be over instead of enjoying the story.

This was a good mystery that had a few surprises. Angela Knight set up the next book with Smoke really well. I want to see what happens to the Cat/Godling.
