Listened to the Librivox recording of this while doing yard work, and it's most curious indeed. Apparently written in 1895, this tragedy in 4 acts (plus prologue) covers the finial moments of King Arthur's kingdom before fate and sin destroy it for all time. I'm extremely curious to find more about this play, it seems to have been non-traditional musical (the music is less "Showboat" and more like Celtic whispers of legendary rhymes ) since there are several songs present used to spur the plot o ...more

The play was written with a Shakespearean like prose, adds a Greek chorus and its ending gave Arthur a promise of a Christ like resurrection. It was interesting and I wish the songs from this musical were available, but all in all, this was a pleasant listen.
