The devilish new novel from the national bestselling author of The Accidental Human.

When mild-mannered Casey Schwartz wakes up in jail, she has no memory of how she got there. But after her sister, Wanda, bails her out, Casey has more to deal with than a foggy memory-like abrupt mood swings and fireballs shooting from her fingertips. But things really head south when a vam

After reading the fourth book of the Accidental Friends by Dakota Cassidy, all I can think about was "Thank God I'm done with the series."

Don't get me wrong, I like her books. They're funny and witty, but I noticed a couple of things in her writing that I find annoying and irritating.

first: The characters talk too darn much. They ramble soo much I wanted to reach from the pages and give them a good whack in the head to make them stop. And make them listen to the person that was conversing with t

Accidentally Demonic is the forth book in Dakota Cassidy’s Accidental series. This time around we follow a new character, Casey who happens to be Wanda’s (Book 3: Accidental Human) little sister. Casey has a crap job working as a “handler” for two brat socialite kids (think Paris Hilton), doing all sorts of damage control has left Casey with little time of her own and has made her relationship with Wanda extremely strained. Out with the terrible two-some one night, Casey ends up being the one wh ...more

Although I started off this series in love with Dakota Cassidy, by the time I got to Book 3 I was definitely falling out of love with it. The story lines are slim at best, there's way too much dialogue and not enough characterization. And if I may say it, Nina is starting to work my nerves. The meaningless curse words don't add to the story, instead I want to smack the person who thinks various forms of the F-word make a good character. Needless to say I had planned on reading the fifth in this ...more

4 1/2 stars for Accidentally Demonic ~ As always, D-Lo AKA Dakota Cassidy delivers yet another Accidental that is full of humor, twisty turns, horns, and fangs. I choose up the book I'm going to read by the mood I'm in. So when I need to laugh and need to learn even more colorful language, Dakota is my hit. I only wish I could put the books down to draw out the fun. *sigh* this was a 24 hour read for me.

It was ok.... This is a cute series, but the books start to feel like the same story told four times with different names inserted for the characters. This book also had A LOT of unnecessary dialogue - the female characters go on and on endlessly, it got a little annoying.

For me, this one has been the best thus far.

I've grown to like these more and more. I had wondered where the series would go after the three main friends had their "accidental" moments. So we went to Wanda's sister and she is accidentally turned into a demon. Her realization of her new powers comes when she's angry at Nina in a pretty funny confrontation, (view spoiler) ...more

First thoughts: Though I like the series they seem a lot of alike in terms of story line which can get a little old.

Dakota Cassidy continues to make me laugh even with all the foul language. Accidentally Demonic deals with Wanda’s sister Casey who is to busy with her job to contact Wanda. So she has no clue what has happened to Wanda and her friend even though Wanda has tried to get in contact with her.

Casey lands in jail and doesn’t remember how she got there but the only person she knows to ca

Plesently Demonic!
Accidentally Demonic is the fourth book in the Accidental friends series by the hilarious Dakota Cassity. When I first started this series a little while back I thought of it as refreshing, witty and enteraining. I was scared that each book wouldn't live up to the first because of it's predictable outcomes, girl turns into supernatural being by accident, has trouble accepting her faith, and then falls in love with guy, but honeslty it is really super enteraining to read, and a

This series always provides good laughs, a yummy guy, a twisted-from-the-start mated-for-eternity love story and some sort of fight scene. But you always know there'll be a HEA. Sometimes a girl just wants a little light, humorous, love story where everyone gets their HEA. That's this series, in a nutshell, for me.

The previous books in the series, The Accidental Werewolf, Accidentally Dead and The Accidental Human told the stories of Marty/Keegan, Nina/Greg and Wanda/Heath. An odd group of girls

Okay, so at this point, we'd run out of established characters.

Wanda's kind-of-estranged sister Casey is brought into the picture and is in prison when we first meet her. Some guy spilled something on her and next thing she knew she was attacking an off-duty officer and able to shoot fireballs.

I wasn't sure if they would continue with the vampire and werewolf thing or bring in something else, but I wasn't really expecting demons. Some of the things that were introduced were interesting in the a

After reading the first three "Accidental" books, they start to read the same. I still like the author but I hope that the next Accidental book will have a slightly different twist in the plot line. There's only so much I can take of whiny characters not understanding their new gift and the evading of information from the secondary characters. I know it adds conflict but GOLLY - its annoying.

I don't think I've every really given a 1 star rating, I can usually enjoy any book even a little but wow I could not wait to be finished this book. I didn't read the rest of the series this was the first one for me and although the idea sounded good I don't think there was one character i liked it in, except maybe Arch, maybe...

The whole book is nothing but all the characters screaming at each other. I felt like I was getting a headache just from reading it. I've read some other reviews of thi

Accidentally Demonic by Dakota Cassidy is Book 4 of the Accidentals Series.

So I totally enjoyed the first two books in the series and struggled with the third as I found it less funny, more dark and didn’t enjoy the cancer issue in my rom-com paranormal read...a definite downer there. Accidentally Demonic was a step back in the right direction for me and is Casey’s story; Casey is Wanda’s little sister. I loved that Casey could give as good as she got just like if you like Nina you mi

DNF.... I was really getting into the series, you know. But I just could not for the life of me keep on reading this book. The hero was just a big jerk and I can't see how the heroine fell in love with him because aside from his apparent physical yumminess, from what I've read, he's got nothing going for him so far. He doesn't even seem to realize how much he's fucked up and gets snippy when he gets called on it. What a nice man indeed. I wanted to give this a one star but ultimately gave two st ...more

I am reading this series because I was curious and thought the idea had promise. With each one, I get less and less impressed with the writing and content. The majority of this book was ridiculous freak outs and arguing between the women and it was frustrating. That could hav been used to add to the story instead of reading 3 or 4 chick fights ever few pages with nonsense name-calling and cussing. I stuck through because the allusion to the story had my curiosity peaked. I wanted to know what th ...more

This was my favorite of this series. The heroine is fiercely independent. Instead of whining and bitching all the time, she accepts that she is now a demon, rolls up her proverbial sleeves, and does what needs to be done. The hero is more meh, mostly because he keeps hiding information that the heroine really needs.
I am planning to stop reading the series here since this is the book in the series that was on my shelves for years and years. It is also the only one I have not struggled to get thro

I was very disappointed with this one. It was just SO much yelling and bickering.
I get that with this Demonic twist someone would be a very, and that as usual Nina will be her normal difficult self, but it was almost overwhelming in the particular book.
Fingers crossed that book 5 in the series will be less of that and a bit more like the first three.

Another good read for the shelf

Love the snark, I will be honest in saying I tend to scan thru the sex scenes because my brain is just like that. Give me sleeping beauty material and I spend more time but otherwise I really like the overall movement of the book!

There was humour ,then it started dragging on and on, and became a convoluted story to add pages to the story.

When Casey Schwartz wakes up in jail, with no idea how she got there, she's forced to call her sister Wanda to bail her out. Having avoiding her sister for years due to shame about her job, this is not a call Casey is looking forward to making. Little does Casey know that calling Wanda for help is actually the easiest thing she will experience over the next few days.
