A a rather oddly named history of Burgmaster, an American machine tool company. The author's thesis is that egregious mismanagement rather than foreign competition drove Burgmaster (and by extension much of the rest of the American machine tool industry, and by extension much of the rest of American industry in general) into the ground, and I have to say he makes a pretty compelling case. Fascinating story of the Burgmaster tool company and how high finance can take a successful enterprise and completely destroy it.
