Little Miss Splendid enjoys being the most splendid with the most splendid house. I guess this is her arrogance. She doesn’t like the view of Mr. Means house so she builds her Great Wall to block out the eye sore. Mr. Mean knocks a hole in the wall and she builds it back. One day the wall is gone and a great splendid brick house has been built. More splendid than her own. Mr. Mean took the bricks and built a Manor. Miss Splendid feels less splendid now. But, at least Mr. Mean has a nice house now to call his own and Miss Splendid does as well, so everyone wins really.

My nephew is still crazy about these books.

Another new and enjoyable book for our family read time.

I rather feel that the Mr Men/Little Miss books rely far too heavily on stereotypes and, for all they are iconic, aren't actually terribly well written or comprehensible for the age range at which they are targeted.

Haha! Little Miss Splendid gets the ultimate punishment for her terrible snobby ways! If she had of helped Mr Mean fix his house, she wouldn’t have wasted so much time, money and effort. His house would then be in better state of repair and she would still have the most splendid house. Not that Mr Mean was fully justified in taking the bricks.

Nice to see vandalism and thievery get rewarded.

Little Miss Splendid never catches a break, hey?
