Lewis Byford Patten was a prolific author of American Western Novels, born in Denver, Colorado. Often published under the names Lewis Ford, Len Leighto and, Joseph Wayne.
This is a good western about a man who kills another man who is committing a crime. The man who is killed is the son of a powerful rancher who decides to get even. A long manhunt begins in which the rancher finds out he has bitten off more than he can chew. Lots of gunfighting and, for once, a realistic romance. Recommended to western fans.
