What a great story. It had me enthralled from beginning to end. So much depth within the intricate world building, yet also a satisfying tale about love. Love between individuals and love for country.

Once again, as I read, my thoughts skittered to places like Afghanistan and Iraq. To countries under the rule of foreigners or their puppets who don't and won't understand their customs. To countries that find it difficult to rule themselves to the benefit of all their people.
