There is only one line I have to say as a review for this book—-> This book is a blessing for anyone who reads and applies it. For anyone seeking to be permanently happy.

I chanted only a few and I felt such enormous joy and bliss within me I could scarcely explain. Now I am doing them all day. It is bound to happen with anybody.

The joy is indescribable.

In order to learn each chant one needs to type them in YouTube as “(Chant name)” followed by “by Paramahansa Yogananda.” One is sure to find atleast one video search link of the chant being sung by a devotee. Sing along and experience divine bliss within yourself. You will be amazed by the transformation of peace and joy that happens within you.

Cosmic Chants, Spiritualized Songs for Divine Communion, by Paramahansa Yogananda is one of my most worn books. This famous music book is put out by Self-Realization Fellowship and sold by groups like Ananda. The songs are song all over the world, online, and in live Kirtans everywhere.

I've been singing with Ananda and SRF for years but it is only in the last 6 months I've been playing the harmonium and singing on my own. There's something about playing and singing or chanting alone - having to know the song better or at least in a different, more musical way that makes it more special still.

I love the iconic picture of Master sitting with his instrument on the cover, the table of contents where I'm always trying to find a song we're singing or one I want to learn, the lovely scripted words and easy to read notation - but of course, mainly the songs!

The Prelude by Yogananda and the introduction and sidebar notes are all interesting and relevant. This book along with the Chants from Ananda, Wave of the Sea, Chants of Yogananda, Kriyananda, and Ancient India constitutes one of my favorites sets of resources for chanting.

I was really disappointed with this book. I expected chants in Sanskrit and most of them were in English. There was no cd included and a lot of the pages were duplicates. This book is for people who can read music and want English chants.
