935 books394 followersI grew up on a small farm on the outskirts of Sydney and as a keen horse rider, often competed in local gymkhanas and even broke in a few horses from time to time. As I was surrounded by animals, I decided at an early age to become a nurse, however I couldn’t stand the sight of blood and so opted for a career in teaching. It’s a bit ironic that I married a surgeon.
I read my first Mills & Boon novel when I was 17 and that encouraged me to continue reading romance novels; the lure of the tall dark handsome hero, who in reality I fell in love with and knew I was going to marry on our second date! After marrying a year later, we moved to Scotland with our six week old baby so my husband could work and study for his MD in surgery. After the birth of our second son we came back to Australia to settle in Tasmania.
I went back to University and up-graded my teaching diploma to a degree and then went on to do a Masters but still I felt as if something was missing. I sat down one day and began writing and everything clicked into place - I had finally found ‘my brilliant career’! I used to write from instinct rather than a specific plan, but now, so many books later I find a loose plan doesn't go astray. An idea will pop into my head, sometimes it will be just a simple phrase or a what if question and I'm away.
Writing is a skill that can be learned and the best way to learn it is to read and to write. So many people feel they have a novel in them and very probably they are right-the only trick is to get it out. My advice to ‘would be’ writers is to write, write, and write even more. Carry a notebook at all times and jot down ideas. And like any other activity the more you do, the more it feels comfortable.

Bedded by Blackmail
These stories have one thing in common...blackmail. The first is about a couple who divorced five years before. They're lawyers who worked for their own field and never saw each other until they met at a conference. Being stuck in an elevator with your ex can be stressful. Having a spur of the moment sex is devastating. When she ends up pregnant things from their past comes to light. Both had issues kept from the other.
The next is about a former model who's ex lover wants her back. After being with him he ends up married to another. But he is in for a surprise when another man comes in to stop him from her.
The last is about two people who could have been together for over seven years but because of not hearing the whole conversation they split up. Now he has gotten her back to his bed, but will it be enough for love to heal the wounds?

Mostly wanted to note that Lucy Monroe's Wedding Vow of Revenge has absolutely nothing to do with blackmail. Someone at Harlequin was asleep at the wheel when they included that one. It was an enjoyable story, but falls squarely into another common trope: H pursued/married h to get revenge against someone else and hopes h never finds out (of course she does)

Omg...So much stupid filler in all these! It was like they were pumping up the word count by repeating EVERYTHING. Sweet baby jebus, I wanted to scream. The Lucy Monroe book was so awful that the couple talked the whole time they had sex. I wanted them both to SHUT UP and just do it. What kind of Alpha male wants a woman giving him orders? Ugh...

I really enjoyed reading 3 books for the price of one. The books are (Back in Her Husband's Bed) by Melanie Milburne, (Wedding Vow of Revenge) by Lucy Monroe and (The Italian's Blackmailed Mistress) by Jacqueline Baird.
(Wedding Vow of Revenge)
Angelo wanted to hurt the one man that hurt him. The one way to do that was to get into a relationship and possible marry the one woman that Baron Randall is in love with. Angelo fell hard for Tara Peters the first time they met. I know it had a revenge plot, but it didn't feel like revenge. It was a love story. I really enjoyed this one.

I didn't really enjoy this one as much. Carli and Xavier got a divorce 5 years ago. They are both lawyers. It was stressful trying to build up career's and be married. 5 years later they get trapped in a elevator. Afterwards they shared a steamy encounter. Not long after Carli finds out she is pregnant. Carli does not give in much. Xavier wants to take care of her, and pamper her. She resist at every turn. It was just annoying. It turned out in the end to be a okay book.
(The Italian's Blackmailed Mistress) by Jacqueline Baird:
This really wasn't a revenge plot. It was more of a mis understanding plot. Max, and Sophie fell in Love. Sophie only heard part of a conversation. She left, and Max didn't stop her. Years later Max see's her, and wants her. Sophie's family is about to lose everything. Max agree's to help but only if sophie becomes his mistress. The chemistry is still there. At the end of the book everything is revealed, and the two fell bad about the misunderstanding, and vow to always love one another. It really turned out to be a sweet book.

This was a okay bundle. The first book of the series was great, then the second book sucked. The last book was just okay.
