Eye-catching collection of unusually nasty crimes, running from the mid-1800s to about the mid-1900s. Splashy scrapbook format and engagingly written, with a great many photos.

Read like a newspaper. Was kind of stuff I had already knew...
But for the date it is published, I'm sure it was new stuff....

Some horrifying crimes from History are included in this book - many of which I had never heard of before. Interesting, macabre, and a little disturbing in places, it is however a good read for those intrigued by this sort of thing and it really makes you wonder why people do these things, especially when they aren't declared insane. Sadly the photograph quality is pretty bad and they all look to be bad photocopies (however this might be because the book is a new print of a book originally printed in the 70s). Also I found the inclusion of Aleister Crowley a bit out of place as he didn't kill anyone, or really commit any crime - he was just generally disliked by the world.
