My friend Kate B. recommended the Indestructibles books, but I hadn't realized that unlike the ones she had shown me, some of them have no words and are just pictures.

I was thrown by the giant pictures of insects on the opening pages (the grasshopper is staring right at you, and the centipede/millipede/whatever is, while colorfully and friendly drawn, still jarring to me) and as I kept going I wasn't stoked by some unrealistic editorial choices -- mostly the cartoonishly-femme eyelashes on some

Part of the "Indestructibles" line from Workman Publishing--won't rip or tear, 100% washable, perfectly okay for the way babies read--with their hands and mouths. It's not really cloth, it feels more like paper and the illustrations are fantastic and colorful. It's never too early to introduce the love of books into kids. At least that's MY philosophy!

Of all the Indestructible books, this one has my favorite pictures. Mama and Papa would take these with me when we would go out. I could sit at the table at look at them for a long time. I enjoyed myself.

I love all of these indestructibles. They live up the name and are wonderful in the infant classrooms at the childcare center where I work.

These are my go-to "you're having a baby" gift for showers!

Vivid, interesting pictures with a safe-to-chew texture makes these perfect for baby.
