Dihari yang sama ketika gedung apartemen yang di bawahnya terdapat bar tempat Toshio Onodera dan Shinji Yuki sedang minum-minum di daerah Shinjuku runtuh terpelintir seakan tersedot ke dalam tanah, ikan-ikan koi di kolam istana di Distrik Sendaiba mendadak mati terebus. Seminggu setelahnya, jembatan yang melintang di atas Sungai Ooi di jalur jalan tol Tomei runtuh. Beberapa hari kemudian terjadi gempa tektonik di Gunung Amagi di Prefektur Izu. Apakah semua kejadian ini saling berhubungan?

Born Minoru "Sakyo" Komatsu in Osaka, he was a graduate of Kyoto University where he studied Italian literature. After graduating, he worked at various jobs, including as a magazine reporter and a writer for stand-up comedy acts.
