The editor of this book was an academic who had taught women’s studies and sex role psychology for six years at this point. Her goal was to “undestand how and why it is that some women chose feminism and some reject it.” She asked women from a wide range of backgrounds, both pro- and anti- women’s movement, to write about their ideas, actions and lives in general in regard to women’s issues.
