Basically a simple list of facts about the Liberty Bell intended for children. Curiously, none of the facts really addresses why the bell is considered an important symbol of America or why it is cracked. Those seem like pretty big omissions.

FOR REFERENCE:

Contents: 1. American Symbol -- 2. A Crack in the Bell -- 3. Visiting the Liberty Bell -- 4. New Words -- 5. To Find Out More -- 6. Index -- 7. About the Author

The Liberty Bell is a book that would be great for starting readers to be able to learn about the Liberty Bell. The story is apart of a great series that I would use to teach about American Symbols.
