This is the best book I've read in a long time. My heart is still soaring after the ending--extremely rare for any book, especially a fantasy.

This was the first book of the series I read, but Lee Edward Fodi wrote it in such a way that you know what's been going on without it being redundant. I won't spoil the book for anyone who hasn't read it, but I will say that if you're looking for honest entertainment and heartbreak without any of the trendy love triangles, Mary-Sues, or stereotypes, then you will love this book.

A chapter a night is a good way to show my 4 year old how fun reading can be. This was another enjoyable Kendra Kandlestar book. The new race's lingo was a little hokey, but it is written for young readers who must be able to read and interpret this 'other' language so it was perfect my child. We are already half way through the next book.

I haven't read a book of this quality in a long time! The vocabulary is poetic and descriptive. The adventure is thrilling. The morals and insights are subtle and beatiful. I can't say enough good things about this book. It is great for kids and adults alike.
