An awesome and simple commentary

A must read for all those who love the Bible... And also for those who would like a greater understanding of the biblical story. Beautifully written and explained. A must read too for all fans of Fr Rohr.

Excellent book on the Old Testament, especially for beginners

So much I didn’t know!

Wow, this book really helped me understand the Old Testament, something I always misunderstood and thought was boring! Can’t wait to read his book on the New Testament. Thanks so much, Richard!

We read this for book club and I did enjoy it. Particularly the first and fifth chapters. I may read it again; Rohr spends a bit too long summarizing Bible stories for those quite familiar with the Bible but I understand why he would do so for newer readers. Some good nuggets of wisdom in here.

Okay I should’ve read this sooner. It will be a big help when I take Disciple again. I HATE the history books and can’t even find the overall themes. This sums them up nicely.

This book was extremely helpful to me by making what felt like complex themes in the Old Testament seem simple. I imagine I will reread this one multiple times, after I read the New Testament volume.
