Anna Kenna is a former radio and television reporter, turned children’s author. This is a well-written leveled text that focuses on a child's adjustment to her father being out of work and becoming her prime caregiver. The book is useful for teaching young readers about inferring--from pictures and character actions. Having said that, I should also point out that the central character is an egocentric brat who certainly needs to learn a lesson about the world not revolving around her!

I was able to read this in about 5 minutes. Struggling readers will enjoy being able to say they're reading chapter books. Describes how a young girl feels when her dad loses his job, and he begins taking care of her at home.
