Money was exchanged instead of love...

Rowena's father had coerced her into marrying the local squire, Sean Tancred. Both men profited by the arrangement—only Rowena gained nothing. Actually, her father believed he was doing her a favor. "I've seen the moony, flushed looks you used to send Sean's way." But Rowena's youthful crush had long since died, and it would stay burie

Oh my gosh this book is so horrible it needs to be recategorized under horror stories.

Makes me want to jab my eyeballs out with an ice pick or remove my skin with a vegetable peeler to distract from the pain for even bothering with this after reading the reviews, but I was curious. I think I need a lobotomy after this, truly terrible and worthless.

The hardest pill to swallow in this story is the age difference depicted in the front photo. I didn't find him that much older in the story but the front photo has him looking like her Grandfather. Not a bad story, it held my interest. The arranged married idea modernized added some humor to it.
