I very much enjoyed this archaeology/history journey into ancient Klamath Country and learned an awful lot from it.
Howe's way of writing feels more like being at a highly enjoyable lecture than many books of this type, in my opinion anyway. The photographs and descriptions are fabulous, too - recommend for anyone wondering that the ancient ones' lives might have been like, or to further knowledge of the southern Oregon-northern California peoples of the past.
Interesting study of the history and culture of the Klamath and Modoc peoples who live in and around Klamath Falls and vicinity. It is full of anecdotes along with explanations of artifacts and their historical context. The book was autographed before it was given to me as a gift from my mother years ago -- finally got around to reading through it.
