Likely more of a cutting edge book at its time than it appears now. Lefty is a legend, and the subtleties of his casting instruction are probably the most notable points in the book. The actual techniques are certainly dated at this point and more definitive than they should be. A good read for a historical perspective of what the sport looked like at the time of its writing, but not as timeless and applicable in 2026 as some other tiles in the genre.
