I was visiting L.A. last week and, on a lark, went to the Santa Monica Library and found this early, rare-ish book of poems from Jim Krusoe (his new novel ERASED comes out today). You can definitely see a lot of the surreal humor that would mark Krusoe's later fiction in the collection, but the poems are fun, disorienting, and affecting in their own right.
Jim Krusoe is an American novelist, poet, and short story writer. His stories and poems have appeared in Antioch Review, Denver Quarterly, BOMB, Iowa Review, Field, North American Review, American Poetry Review, and Santa Monica Review, which he founded in 1988.
