This book reminded me that slang is slowly dying in Australia. It took me back to my childhood and the way people actually talked back then. I tested myself by not looking at the descriptions until I'd had a go at deciphering them, but still there were a small number that confounded me. I'll bet a 30 year old would struggle with a lot of them.
