This large format book (8 ½” x 14”) starts by discussing the terminology and techniques used for flat woven Kilim rugs. The use, history and ancestry of these nomadic rugs are explained next. The remainder of the book contains full page, high quality photographs of 100 Kilims with a short description including the place of origin, date made and location of the rug now. Some of the rugs are owned by museums and some are in private collections. This is an outstanding reference book for anyone interested in Kilim rugs.
