This is a gorgeous little book with beautiful, simple photographs of Spring: flowering trees, newly hatched chicks, children planting seeds etc. Each of the about sixteen pages contains a two to six word sentence e.g. “Birds come back.” In other words, it’s designed for the very new reader to build simple vocabulary.

I liked the pictures in this book, but when I reserved it at the library I thought it was a book of facts and science and it really isn't. It is a book for little kids with simple sentences observing what happens in spring.
