Wedding Bell Blessings #1

An Unexpected Match

Rate this book
What does hardworking single father Matthew Warren want in a wife? Responsibility, practicality and a good rapport with his child. So why isn't he interested in the responsible, practical daughter of his matchmaking mother's best friend? Could it be that another Scott sister has gotten through to his guarded heart? He can't possibly be falling for Haley Scott, his daughter's new nanny, the very woman he almost fired for her free-spirited ways! Granted, his little girl is a lot happier lately. And so is he. Sometimes the best matches are the most unexpected.

Yet another good book from Dana Corbit. Matthew Warren's wife left him and their daughter, and he was angry. Haley Scott's heart was broken by her fiance because he canceled their wedding. She had moved from her job, and nowhere to go, so she moved in with her mom. Matthew hires Haley to be a nanny to his daughter while he is at work. Haley falls in love with his daughter and him. She teaches him how to be a father and how to love. AS they are getting used to the fact that they are love, their mother's are trying to set him up with Haley's sister Caroline. He has enough of it and lets the mother's know that he likes Haley. He blows it, but Haley forgives him, and they end up getting married.

Matthew Warren and his 4 year old daughter, Elizabeth, or Lizzie, to Haley Scott, needs to relax his expectations. Haley might need to become more focused...

Very sweet, a little predictably cheesy, but a fun read nonetheless.
