And my thoughts on this books can be summed as such:

"Why do you hate us so much?" Elle hissed at the [spoiler].

And, lo, Amanda respond, "Because you haven't had one redeeming character action in 600 pages?"

Guardian was a slow book, nothing really happened, it was all just a journey to find Edgar but nothing amazing or exciting happened. It was a little different reading that heaven was found in the middle of earth, under the ground. Everyone has always believed that heaven was way up high beyond the stars, so that was a new take on heaven, and hey maybe that possible, no one has ever been to the center of the planet, I hear its way to hot lol anyway I liked the ending, it was cute, Scott and Sarah ...more

Read way back in 2011, and rereading now (2015) for reasons explained in my review for book 1: link

Verdict: bad.

I couldn't get past 12 pages in. The author had no sense of direction and the scenes lacked a purpose, goal, and resolution. The writing was unfocused and poor. The characters were bland and the dialogue boring.

I don't recommend this to anyone. This writing is the level of that of a beginner (fanfiction level).

I really dread reading book 3's beginning... Why oh why do I put myself thro

Oh wow I am trying to be nice I really am. This one was worse than the first which has me kind of freaked about reading the 3rd..should I or shouldn't I? Anyways, I guess I am really picky with the writing in books. I like beautiful, flowing, full of details and descriptions, writing, and this book is not my cup of tea I tell ya. Anyways, sorry for the crappy review, but I am suffering from an intense head ache currently, the result of my banging my head on my desk after every single sentence pr ...more

I didn't like this book as much as the first in the series. I think I would even like book 3 better. I will most likely still read the the third book in this series just so I can see how everything ends but I don't think I will read it for a while. I was a little disappointed.

I liked this one better than the first, even though I am a sucker for romance this one had a very interesting and detailed fantasy world I have never read about.

Keeps getting better.... the vivid descriptions, the interesting world of the God's and the continuing story of Estella and Edgar's love. One of my favorite love stories!!!
