This book gave a really good paraphrase of the story of Daniel. The story wasn’t missing any key parts, without being overly caught up in minutia, and had a good pace. I think that kids would enjoy reading about Daniel and would be able to understand what is going on.

The illustrations were fairly realistic. Somewhere between realistic and cartoon/comic book — I am not artistic whatsoever, so I don’t have any clue if this style has a name. I can just say that it was pleasant to look at. :)

My Favorite Picture:

This is a good telling of the famous Bible story, with the narrative stream slightly tapered in deference to the young age of the readers. I would, of course, recommend the original version to be found in the Bible ahead of this, even to younger kids, but I could imagine that Marlene Targ Brill's version could stir some interest in the story in pre-readers.

Me di cuenta que ésta es una de las historias bíblicas que nunca leí de pequeña, así que cada día tengo una razón más para darle otra oportunidad a La Biblia xD
