Ali Al-Wardi is that bridge linking western sociology/philosophy with Iraq's own history.
.
He's the most unbiased Iraqi in modern times. So witty and authentic. His sarcasm made me laugh a few times which I didn't expect. So ready to read another one of his books!

This book is very simple, and easy. And unlike any philosophy book, it tries to be as clear as possible for the main service it tries to offer: Cleanse our minds from all the wrong things we're told about the history of Islam.

First of all, I would like to talk about Ali Al-Wardi's style. This book is a non-fiction book, which means that it's expected not to follow any given structure. Non-fictions don't have certain structures to follow, but only simple and important rules (namely, a: the book

It has a lot of repetition of ideas especially in the last couple of chapters but overall it is a must-read for anyone interested in human nature, history, religion or politics.

I like a lot of information which the author has written in this book. I think the author tried to write in a neutral way relatively in the first part of the book, but after that he tried to defend his belief clearly and considered that his belief is the rightest, but unfortunately he used some ideas that contradict with other information he had presented in his book itself.

showing the short comings of the platonic logic which has been dominant for more than a millenia , Dr.Wardi lucidly explains how societies grow out through struggle and what should we expect from our society and what we shouldnt, a very good book & will definitely read it again ...

This book has many eye opening aspects, I feel like I don’t have enough eloquence or references to speak of the historical facts without sounding biased. So I will refrain for that, it’s beyond my abilities to dabble in it. With that being said, there was (I think) a whole chapter that was basically a Plato diss chapter and my flaire for the dramatic has been amused and I love it.

In all seriousness, I will always recommend reading books that may seem to go against what you’ve been conditioned t

I loved the beginning and the way the write introduced the contradictions of humans logic and religion, however, I didn’t like the body of the book cause I didn’t understand what the writer’s point of view is! I was lost trying to read between the lines.
