Gave a lot of good points on how to combat arthritis with natural means. This is especially important, considering that many of the so-called treatments of arthritis, such as the use of NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - e.g., Ibuprofen or other prescription anti-inflammatory drugs) that, with long-term use, actually prevent the production of chemicals that are responsible for helping to rebuild cartilage. Thus, they eventually hasten the progression of the disease despite providing short-term relief. Cortisone shots are even worse, and this too is a frequent medical treatment for arthritis. Hopefully surgery will get better, but at this point knee surgery is literally barbaric and stands out as one of the very most painful surgeries to have. In light of all this, I'm more than pleased that there are books such as Luke Bucci's out there that offer natural ways to combat arthritis and not just treat the symptoms, but hopefully improve and regrow some of the cartilage in the knee, which is what causes pain in the first place. Some of this I already knew since I'd done a great deal of research, but even for me this book held some new and very helpful information. I highly recommend for anyone that has arthritis or that is highly active even, as this book will help recommend a few simple ways to keep your joints healthy and pain-free.
