October 8, 2024A middle grades oriented reading for the history of the cold war between capitalism and communism.
Started from the beginning of Bolshevik revolution and the rise of the Nazis regime through the dividing of Germany, and finally ended by the fall of communism in 1990's. The book used the fall of Berlin wall as a symbol of the end of a powerful system like the communism.
Simplified yet concise, the book skillfully traced the most important events explained with their causes and effects. Every event is neatly organized in two pages, what made it easy to keep track to what's going on without being lost "like what usually happens to me while reading history books".
Also the book wasn't biased as i feared before reading. It gave a balanced presentation to the two rival camps (United States and Soviet Union) without beautifying their actions or taking sides.

I love this book for many reasons.First It s very interesting how the Berlin Wall fail because people want to know why the Berlin Wall failed .for example they were many people fighting a ingrains each other communist and capitalism because Russia attacked the east side of Berlin and America took the east the wall was in the middle of Berlin.Second, I m in love with this book because it's gives so many information that my head would explode.for example Hitler said "I will make new forces and attack all the world".In conclusion I m in love and interested reading this book.
The author wrote this book for several reasons.First,she wanted to show us how pain was and how people die trough this painful adventure.for example when a women wanted to climb this wall to be capitalist she risked here life and died they were also separated families West and East.Second, the author wrote this book also to show us the history and how people lived trough different stories and bad or happy people were.for example a quote from the author "using the Berlin Wall as a focus was a very bad idea".In conclusion, I m very proud that the author wrote this book.
The author is very interesting for Manu reasons.First,she wrote a lot of books that talks of history which is very interesting.For example she wrote how was the culture of Pakistan and how was their life going with the history of Pakistan.Second,People and me like the way how she organizes here book with glossary index here writing and here way of thinking.for example she said "I like history until it ends".In conclusion the author is very interesting with here good qualities.

This book is about a Berlin Wall.First, it talks about Russia and America who attacked Berlin which was in Europe Russia took the east and America took the west they separated a lot of families and wall was in the middle of Berlin."a women got to the west by climbing a building.Second,this book talks about hitler who was the ruler of Germany and always wanted the best for him and his country.for example Russia and America took 3 times Germany because it was a little bit hard for them.In,conclusion I also liked the action and adventure to get their.
I learned many thinks that surprise me in the book of the Berlin Wall.First,I liked how they braked the wall and passed to many terrible thinks and finally braked it I was very surprised.for example Russian braked the wall because Americans were attacking and throwing grenades trough the other side.Second,it made me surprised that hitler was in the war Azande wanted to rule the whole world.finally,this book is amazing.

This book gives a great overall look at the Cold War from beginning to end and was a perfect edition to our U.S. History studies. The layout is done exceptionally well with informative and easy to follow text, great photographs & illustrations, detailed maps, interesting quotes, glossary, and timeline.

A great book by Nigel Kelly. Doesnt just tell you about the Berlin Wall it tells you about the cold war with Russia and the USA. Very good illustratons!
