Started from the beginning of Bolshevik revolution and the rise of the Nazis regime through the dividing of Germany, and finally ended by the fall of communism in 1990's. The book used the fall of Berlin wall as a symbol of the end of a powerful system like the communism.
Simplified yet concise, the book skillfully traced the most important events explained with their causes and effects. Every event is neatly organized in two pages, what made it easy to keep track to what's going on without being lost "like what usually happens to me while reading history books".
Also the book wasn't biased as i feared before reading. It gave a balanced presentation to the two rival camps (United States and Soviet Union) without beautifying their actions or taking sides.
