This book was very surprrising and edgey. This Book was about a girl who grew up thinking she only deserved the best guy anywere, used her looks to get everything she wanted, and thought the world revolved around her. She started talking to a drug dealer who led her down a dangerous, DEADLY road. Oh yea, she even kills a man.!
This book took place on May 31st 2009 in East St.Louis. In the book alot of events happen. She meets her man because her little cousin busted his knee. She graduates from highschool and all her friends disappear, and she leaves home. The characters in this book include kayla, shard, granny and her aunts.

I AM VERY DISSAPOINTED IN THIS BOOK ! Overall it was a great read therefore I will still give it 4 stars & there is a second book so you never know what can change or happen but the last 2 pages is pure Fuckery ! Really ?? WTF were you thinking to end it like that ?? It was like basically I'm tired of writing so I'ma just end this shit .... Idk but I'ma read part 2 ♥

i really enjoyed reading this book,it's so strange how the things that are not good for us we tend to want so much more ,that guy shard was bad news ,but the more he pushed her away the more she flocked to him her whole family is money hungry so she dont believe they can help her ,i believe what they did in new york is going to come back to haunt her,she already about to have a nervoud breakdown the ending just makes you want more and i will be waiting for part 2
