Mirth and laughter are just behind the eyes as he reads your fortune based on the tea you just spilled on the sidewalk. Is he being serious, yes, is it a joke, yes. Best to just let go and enjoy the ride.

This book is rather a short read whose jist is that every moment is a moment for meditation. Stopping is not necessarily meditation but can be. Moving at one's own rhythem is meditation.

Reps has a unique way of using page and his minimalistic illustrations are very interesting and viewing them is perhaps meditative in itself.

The best part about this book is the approach to binding. The wooden boards made it standout from other books at my library. The fact that it comes with a sandpaper bookmark to smooth the covers as a meditattive tool is stellar. I am glad after 30 + years my library's copy still had the bookmark- shows that everyone who picked it up revered it.
