Kolter Saga #1

The Raging Winds of Heaven

Rate this book
Lord Kendall Varrick was the swaggering, brutally commanding English nobleman whose imperious lust made young and breathtakingly beautiful Lady Loedicia Aldrich his helpless victim.

Captain Quinn Locke was the sinfully handsome, dashing, notorious American rebel whose virile passion made Loedicia his shame-filled slave.

Roth Chapman was the upright Royal officer whose fiery adoration left Loedicia torn between overwhelming ecstasy and unbearable guilt.

Here, on a canvas that stretches from the intrigues of a glittering, decadent society to the savage violence and danger of a flaming American frontier, is the passionate saga of the exquisite Loedicia, orphaned and thrust from innocent into a world of bold desires and rapturous love - a romantic adventure that will thrill the imagination and quicked the pulse...

This was the book, loaned to me from a friend and making the circuit of our Mom's group, that got me back into reading after several years of raising 3 boys from toddlers to school years, not taking the time to myself to indulge in my passion for reading. It is the first of a series of 8 books and really held my interest. I would lock myself in the bathroom and let my husband handle the boys just to get some quiet me time! Of course this was 35 years ago and now I can read whenever I want!!!!!

I have read and re-read this series (8 I believe). I was sucked in from the first page and couldn't wait to read the next in the series. I have 5 of the books in my possession...looking to grab the others from a reseller.

This was a pretty good story, one of those never-a-dull-moment ones, and the first in a saga, so I'll probably check out the rest. However, I resent the fact that, like most HR novels written in the late 70's/early 80's. the h HAS to get raped, and both the H and h HAVE to sleep with other people. I could have done without all that. Even though they each thought the other was dead before they slept with someone else, it wasn't all that long, only a few months, and considering how they had declared their true love, it seemed pretty hypocritical to me. No matter the circumstances (and I won't give them away), it was just too soon to get naked with other people.

Okay, I'll shut up now.
