Monkey is in a hurry! He is on a special journey with his best friend Panda to see a beautiful surprise. Monkey is so excited to see what lies ahead he can hardly wait—even for Panda. “Let’s get going, Panda-plod,” Monkey yells. But suddenly he’s moving too fast and Panda needs to rescue him. Will the two friends make it to the mountain in time for the surprise? The beautiful illustrations capture the gorgeous countryside in this moving story about friendship.
A sweet story about a panda who takes the time to enjoy what’s around him, and a monkey who could learn something from his friend. The illustrations are beautiful, and there’s a special surprise at the end. A lovely book with a nice message.
Panda is on an adventure and is joined by his friend Monkey. While Panda is slow moving, Monkey is in a hurry and finds himself in danger. Panda is able to rescue him and eventually show him that sometimes we need to slow down to see the beauty in the world. This was a sweet and calming story of friendship. The text is well written and easy for young children to understand. The illustrations are absolutely beautiful. They are detailed, colorful, and gorgeous! My daughter loved ending and was able to identify that she usually acts most like Monkey.
This came in my daughter's first Lillypost box. It's a really nice story, that actually has a lot of subtle messages. What you can kiss when you rush. The importance of having people to count on and to help you. The joys you can receive from patience.
I wasn't sure about anything in the box when I opened it, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Panda teaches his friend Monkey a lesson in appreciation and patience.
This beautifully illustrated story of friendship, patience and tolerance would make a great choice for a read-aloud for early elementary students. Panda plays the older, wiser character opposite the impulsive, rambunctious Monkey. Children will anxiously await the surprise Panda has for Monkey, and the payoff is well worth the wait.
Cute story about 2 friends who are very different, but who love each other anyway.
And beautiful illustrations. The last page in particular is wondrous and amazing. Good enough to be a piece of artwork hung on the wall. The book would be worth reading for this page alone.
Plus, my kids (ages 3, 6, and 8) all really like this book.
How cute! I picked this up as it had a panda on the front (and I LOVE pandas!) and the really cute monkey. It was very cute and the illustrations were lovely.
