This book keeps your interest and is a great short story. Would I read again. Most likely. I give this book 4 1/2 stars. I started reading on 9-4-2018 and finished reading on 9-5-2018.

I don’t know I started this book but I forced myself through it. Incoherent, jumpy, and honestly so dated that I didn’t enjoy the book.

I get times were different when the book was published, but damn even Huck Finn as the likes weren’t this bad.

But I started so I had to finish it.

Good old fashioned mystery

My review of The Golf Course Mystery is not necessary what one will get from the book. It is just what I got from it. One may get a different reaction to the book.

Books are not as enjoyable to read if one can’t understand it. The Golf Course Mystery was confusing to read at times. The book was also hard for me to understand. The book also jumped from place to place without much transition. The above caused me to not enjoy The Golf Course Mystery like many other mystery books.

When a book is confusing, the reader has to question what is going on in the book. When this happens, the reader is taken out of the experience of reading the book. While reading The Golf Course Mystery, I often had to reread a paragraph to fully realize what was happening. Thus, I never really felt like I was able to fully enjoy the book.

The wording of the book was difficult for me to understand. The book used a version of english that I have never really seen, causing me to not be able to understand parts of the book. I could not fully be in the book because the wording was difficult to understand.

The Golf Course Mystery seemed to jump from one place to another too rapidly. I often found myself rereading parts because I was not sure where the setting for certain parts was. This added to my inability to understand what was happening in the book.

I did not really understand what was happening in The Golf Course Mystery. The book was confusing at times. The book used a version of english that was hard for me to understand. The book seemed to jump from one place to another very rapidly. Altogether, I never really understood what was happening in the book.

Predictable

The book was ok,it just to predictable. Misspellings and grammatical errors interrupted the flow. Introduction of characters was somewhat erratic.

Fairly typical of the mysteries written in the 1st quarter of the 20th century. I enjoy these older books.
