This is a collection that shows what went into the production of the movie "New Moon." From actors to scenery - this book shows some of the more complex aspects of film making.
Students might fins this book entertaining because it focuses not only on a popular movie, but the movie making process in general. Students might like creating their own make believe movie and writing up all the processes that would go into the movie.

I have to say that after reading this book and scrutinizing every GORGEOUS photo, I am -- dare I say -- even more excited for the movie than I was before! And if you know me, you know how excited I've been. It appears that New Moon is going to be so much better than Twilight, in so many ways. (Remember how awful Rosalie's hair was in Twilight?? Well, it's a wig this time around! Thank goodness! And the red and yellow contacts look amazing. Plus, the "sparkle in the sunlight" effect sounds like i

Lots of good pictures, but they can't compare with the living, breathing people I watched on screen yesterday. The movie gave tantalizing glimpses of the sense of family felt by both the Cullens and the werewolf pack. Pictures just don't recreate those heartwarming scenes.
A detailed account of the filming would have been enjoyable, but Vaz and Summit Entertainment have withheld the most interesting stuff. No on-location vignettes, mostly generalities. I gave it 3 stars because even the generalit ...more

I enjoyed this book as I did the Twilight Movie Companion. It is facinating all the work that goes into making a movie. I love learning about the attention to details required to make a good movie. I also enjoyed reading some of the thoughts of the cast and crew. There are lots of great photographs in the book.
I liked the book new moon because there was a lot of romance and mystery in this one.Bella was not the same as she was in the first book. The part that made the best was that there was something ion there i did not expect.Edward leaving Bella the way he did was totally shocking.I personally felt like this was the best book out of all of them.It was a very emotional inspiring book.I guess what makes it even ore special is that they were together when they made the movie so it kind of made you thin

This one wasn't much better than the first one. This one does talk about how they made the wolves, which was interesting. I love the pictures of Bellas' birthday party, when Edward leaves her, and the beach scenes. All of the pictures are beautiful!
I think the pictures are better in this second book. The pictures of Edward and Bella are more romantic. The pictures seem clearer and more professional. Maybe it's just me.

This book is as good as the movie...
The love triangle starts to begin between the beautiful and sexy vampire: Edward Cullen, the fragile human-bella and the protective bestfriend-Jacob.
How will Bella survive once Edward leaves her to suffer alone?
She soon finds her bestfriend Jacob Black who reveals hes a ware-wolf she starts spending most her time with him...She suddenly notices, if shes in danger she can hear Edwards voice...Is it worth it all?
She decides to jump off the cliff for extreme fun ...more

I bought this companion at Waterstones because it was very cheap. It was in the section of the books that are damaged. Damaged meant that it was dog-eared which didnt matter to me. I was surprised to see the photos inside. There were so many of them! And the so lovely, so clear, BIG and nice! If youre team Jacob, the book will surprise you with many, many photos of Jacobs chest:) I looked up the actors, and was surprised to find out that Aro was actually played by Michael Sheen. I found interest

New Moon: The Official Illustrated Movie Companion (that's what it says on the spine of the book :)) is the second book Mark Cotta Vaz has written about the making of The Twilight Saga movies.
Like the Twilight companion, the book takes you behind the scenes throughout the making of New Moon. It was really interesting to learn about how the new production staff (as well as the new director) scouted locations that would be comparable yet different from the locations in Twilight. A MUST-HAVE FOR TWILIGHT FANS
The New Moon illustrated movie Companion gives us an intimate look at the creation of the film. Written again by Mark Cotta Vaz who gave us the original Twilight companion, this one in my opinion is even better. Crammed full of lavish, full color and never before seen photographs (okay, yes most are available on different fan sites but isn't it nice to have them all together here?)

In New Moon, fragile, human Bella Swan is deperately in love with indestructable, vampire Edward Cullen. He feels he puts her in the way of danger everytime he is with her, so he leaves her in Forks, saying it is for the best. Bella cannot cope with his departure though, and resorts to putting herself in the way of danger so she can hear his voice again. One day though, she goes too far. She tries cliff diving. While on her motorcycle with her bestfriend Jacob, she sees the cliff and the other w

I know- I have some kind of Twilight sickness. This movie was so much better than the mangled version of Twilight they made last year.
It was interesting to read how they adapted new sets and locations, since they filmed "Forks" in Canada instead of the US. I'm glad they fixed the clown-like make-up from the first movie. I thought they might explain why Edward's hair looks shorter in New Moon (and why Jasper's bad wig made him look like Beethoven), but not much is mentioned. Lots of references to ...more

This month I read the book "New Moon" by, Stephine Meyer. The genres of this book are fiction, and novel. In this book Bella, and Edward become closer as a couple. Also Bella finds that Jacob is a good friend. This book in the series brings lots of suspicion, and surprizes to the series. I rated this book a five out of five stars, because it was a very good long held story.

I love reading about the reality of turning a book into a movie. It is fun to see the process of finding sets and locations, how makeup and hair are done, and especially how the stunts are put together.
The writing was easy to read and well put together, although in the beginning there was a plethora of descriptive words...it seemed a bit overdone.
Mostly...you gotta love the pictures!
One goof...a picture is labeled "part of Bella's dream" when it is really the scene Aro sees of Bella as a vampire ...more

An insightful and detailed look behind the scenes of New Moon. I loved Twilight, but I am convinced that NM will exceed above and beyond the first film. Visually, at least. The makeup is better, the cinematography is warmer, and the special effects will (hopefully) look professional and seamless instead of cheesy. The creative processes explored in this book are well worth delving into.

this book was very good ..its about this girl that two boys like and she likes both of them but she doesnt know wthat to do ..she ends up going out with edward but he brakes up with her.because its not safe for her..so the other boy wants her but all they become is good reads .her and edward gos out again in the end.i learn its not good for tow people to like the same person because at the end it all comes out bad..my favorite part is when its bellas birthday party and this person atacks her out

Ahh, yes. The Twilight series; my (not so) secret guilty pleasure. If you're a fan of this series (or a fan of Rob or Taylor) then you'll love this book.
The photos on their own are stunning as it shows how some of the scenes were shot (cliff diving, motorbike riding etc) and how the stunts were done. But not only that, there is commentary from the cast and crew and details about how the locations were chosen, how the scene was shot etc. If this had been a picture book alone I would have loved i ...more
