Upon assuming his new role as Spanbrook's chief mage, Khaldun discovers an ancient artifact that Nyro, the great necromancer herself, left behind. The object is still linked to her, and through it, she communicates with Khaldun, enticing him to liberate her. Syllith soon learns that Nyro is behind Fosland's renewed military aggression, and that there's a traitor at the university. Before long, all of northern Maeda is dragged into war, but is it only a diversion, providing the ancient evil an opportunity to escape?

Sorcerer like it's two predecessors was full of twist and turns. One moment it seemed like there was no hope for the protagonists and other times it changed to them having the upper hand then yet again hope disappeared and resurfaced. I enjoy how Mr. Warner constantly kept me wondering and needing to know what happens next. Now I have started the 4th installment of the saga and look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Sorcerer

I really enjoyed this the third book in the series. Gripping from start to finish and the characters that are left seem very real. Looking forward now to starting book 4.
