In this book the author describes a summer goal program she set up for her kids with various categories including cooking, cleaning, music, reading, and writing. She speaks of utilizing summertime to teach children important life skills. I am thinking I want to do something similar with my own children.

Written by the mom of a wonderful friend. If the suggestions in this book turn out kids like her, I'll implement them all! I'm excited to see what it's all about.

Update: This book has great ideas! We'll reference it a lot, I think, as we get into some of the habits described.

This is a very quick, great book. I wish I had it when my kids were little. It was a nice reminder about getting back to the basics- simple fun, with a "let your kids play in the mud" attitude.
