"The Emperor's Handbook" is written by the former Roman emperor, Marcus Aurelius, and offers advice to himself on how to live a good, peaceful, disciplined life while being emperor of Rome. While reading this book, I took the advice within the book as everyday guidance, almost like a bible, because all the self-improvement advice is very practical, simple, and relatable. After reading this book, I felt like I improved on my inner self, genuinely kinder, learnt not to judge others, and live sincerely.

The Emperor's Handbook is a well-written book that offers various advice in your life for you to become a better, kinder person. It also serves as a reminder for numerous readers who may have gotten into bad habits, such as myself. I would completely recommend this book to anyone, as this is one of the best books I've read.

One quote that I took very personally and was moved by was earlier in the book where he discusses acceptance and recognizing, "When furious at someone, understand their feeling, position, and think from their perspective because the truth you truly believe varies in other people's view of the truth."
From this quote, I learnt not to express anger easily at others without understanding their view of the argument, since there are as many truths as there are people, because we all think and take information differently.
