Tigger has gotten careless in his bouncing, leading to a first in my reading of Pooh books: an angry Pooh!
Lest you worry Tigger will pay a bloody price for poking the bear, know that instead the Hundred-Acre friends team up to make him a present they hope will focus and expend some of his energy. Oh so ho-hum.
(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list... )
Tigger wants to play and goes around trying to find someone to play with. He starts at Pooh's house bounces on him making him spill his honey. Then he goes to Roo who is building a tower of blocks when Tigger knocks them over. Next, he bounces through Kanga's washing line. Lastly, he bounces on top of Eeyore's pile of thistles that he just made. Nobody wants to play with him. Rabbit tells him to stop messing everything up so he goes off by himself. They all gather for a picnic and do not know where Tigger was. To fix the problem of him bouncing on everything they made him a present and went to look for him.
This book was really cute. I like that it included all the characters from Winnie the Pooh. I liked the words that were made bigger like CRASH and BOING to put more emphasis on them.
This book can be used to show how we need to be nice to others. If we are mean to each other then nobody will want to be around us. It is not only about you. Other peoples feelings need to be taken into consideration too.
Cute "Winnie the Pooh" book about Tigger and playing too rough. It's a good book to read when sitting down with little ones to read, especially if you have one that likes to play too rough.
