Subtle and playful, intuitively sequenced, alert to unexpected compositions and color combinations, Mike Slack has created major work in this small format. He nods to Walker Evans' polaroids and Eggelston's blank stare, but offers up his own mysterious definition of beauty.

Its such a wonderful description of pure nostalgic joy. The absolute embodyment of the renegade youth, beauty, and freedom of a T.Rex song in picture form.

Love his photography. I actually met Mike Slack in Portland, while working at PICA, and he is such a down-to-earth guy.
