This short book features repeating words in large fonts and wonderful color photographs depicting different examples of 'bugs' and the body parts highlighted. The use of the word 'bug' versus 'insect' is somewhat disappointing, but not unexpected for this target demographic. It's a good book for beginning readers.

The final two pages of the book include additional information about insects (and uses this term), especially those featured in the images within the book.

I was scared of this book because there were some scary bugs like the one with the pointy legs because I have never seen him before.

I thought that the pictures in this book were amazing. I like how they are so close up and clear of real bugs. This book would be great to read to a class when starting a unit on bugs and insects.
