A wide range of topics covered for those who are interested in pursuing Jazz Improvisation. The first part of the book covers the modes along with example solos (For the Dorian Mode, the Miles Davis solo on "So What" ). Part two covers rhythms and form. Part three is devoted to the more "exotic scales" such as the Harmonic Minor, Diminished, Whole Tone etc. And the fourth part is devoted to Pentatonic scales and Intervallic Improvisation. Good information throughout!
