He was one of the great superstars of world Hockey, centering for the Soviet Union's famed KLM Line of Sergei Makarov, Larionov and Vladimir Krutov. Larionov, wife Elena and daughter Alyonka lived in Vancover British Columbia Canada, where he played for the Vancouver Canucks.

Good book, fun writing and a fantastic story for those interested in the (not too long ago) days of hockey, Soviets army hockey players, enforced systems and escapes.
