Heart Of The Storm

Rate this book
For five years the fury of the German war machine has raged against the beleaguered port of Dover. But between the grief and loneliness, the fear and weariness, some are able to discover courage, strength, and even love. Beautiful Faye Ludlow, a brave woman who has emerged from the heart of the storm with the power to shape her own destiny, finds herself fighting three wars at once. She must face the desperate struggle to survive the assault on Dover during England's darkest hour in World War 2; she must bear the burden of perserving the family estate for her son. And through it all she must endure the inner conflict of conscience and passion as she tries to choose between fidelity to the husband who doesn't understand her love for the man who does.

This book was an informative and refreshing look back on WW2 and the effects it had on England and the folks that lived in the area. Excellent read.
