“Simply a Kansas girl” is the best way to describe Roxann Delaney. Born, raised and having always lived in the Sunflower State, she’s also traveled to 48 states, Canada, Mexico and Cuba.

Books and reading have always been a major part of her life, but theater and performing arts called to her in high school and she later became one of the founders of a community theatre. She's come to the conclusion that reading, writing and acting are nothing more than ways to become someone else…at least in her own mind.

Roxann has lived on a farm, in a small town and has returned with her four daughters and grandchildren to live in the city where she was born. Books and reading are an integral part of not only her life, but her family's as well. Her oldest granddaughter is named Scarlett (yes, of Gone with the Wind fame).

When she isn’t writing or reading, she's designing Web sites and keeping in touch with friends, both old and new. She is proud to be one of the Ditzy Chix, is a member of WARA (Wichita Area Romance Authors) and enjoys sharing happy-ever-after stories with readers.

4 Stars ~ Nick is shocked to discover that the woman he's stopped to help with a flat tire is none other then the girl who stomped on his heart 10 years ago, Becca. Taking in her battered car with it's worn tires, he's angry, not just with Becca for the old hurt but with her husband for not seeing that she had a safe car to drive, after all she had three kids. When Becca had dumped him, Nick had left Kansas without a look back, but now with his own marriage ended, he'd wanted to be closer to his family again, and discovering a need for contractors, he decided to move his whole construction business. Becca's divorced too, and struggling to make ends meet with three young children to raise on her own. Sure her ex sends her support but it's always late, and now she's received a letter from a lawyer telling her that she has to move from her rented house, it seems that it's been sold to some corporation. When Nick offers her a job working in his office, she jumps at the opportunity. And then there's a new letter from that lawyer telling her she had an extension on her move out date. Having Becca in his life again is unsettling, but Nick quickly realizes that he's never gotten over Becca and he adores her kids. There's definitely a spark between them, but Becca thinks that maybe it's really just her kids that Nick wants to be around.

From the first pages I fell in love with Nick. Both Becca and Nick are characters with generous hearts and quickly they find the love that they once lost. Ms. Delaney is a talented storyteller. Her Morelli clan is so endearing, I too, like Becca, felt jealous of them. I enjoyed very much reading Becca and Nick's journey to HEA.
